A Riverside Pavilion on the Thames at Pimlico
Function rooms with balconies over the Thames, supporting a youth boating charity.
Westminster Boating Base sits in Pimlico Gardens on the north bank of the Thames, where the charity teaches dinghy sailing, powerboating, kayaking and canoeing. Since March 2025 the base has been run by GLL, under the Better name, on the charity’s behalf, and income from venue hire supports its youth and community programmes.
The Pavilion Room has floor-to-ceiling windows and a full-length balcony over the water, with views towards Battersea Power Station. The smaller Edgson Room has a covered balcony and opens onto the riverside terrace. A private pier means guests can arrive by boat. It suits wedding receptions, parties and corporate events, and we plan the menu around the space.

Capacity
Pavilion Room: 200 standing or 140 seated. Edgson Room: 80 standing or 40 seated.
Weddings
Wedding receptions for up to 150 at dinner in the Pavilion Room. No ceremony licence is published.
Good to Know
Guests can arrive or leave by boat from the private pier and pontoon.
